SQL Bits XI Info and Other Courses

The Internet is a brilliant resource to gain information from: There’s so many eminent IT Pros with blogs who impart their hard earned knowledge for free through blogs and forums and webinars. But occasionally we have to tear ourselves away from the PC and venture out to conferences and seminars, even if it is just to get out of the house once in a while.

I’ve blogged a bit about SQL Bits, and I have just registered for the event. I am looking forward to going as the sessions were diverse and give you a great opportunity to check out one of the other features of SQL Server, but also the catering was really good to!

I found a write up on how to get there for international travelers on Jen Stirrup’s blog. It’s probably the most comprehensive write up for international travelers, so if you happen to stumble upon my blog looking for info, I suggest you check this out:

Aside from SQL Bits, I also fully intend on attending Super-Scaling SQL Server later on in June. It’s being hosted by Chriss Webb at Technitrain and presented by Thomas Kejser, so you know that it’s going to be Tier one in terms of quality. Any self respecting DBA has fired up PerfMon and Googled on how to use PerfMon for SQL, only to find conflicting info, so to spend a day under the tutelage of the CTO of FusionIO and a SQLCat Team Member is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Are there any other get together s which you recommend?
